What's this about a new instrument?

Currently in construction, the Kithara II will be the newest addition to PARTCH's growing instrument family. We've enlisted the talents of our good friend and regular artisan, J. Scott Hackleman, to re-design this wonderful instrument. The basic design elements remain the same, but built upon a metal skeletal frame to maximize strength, resiliency, as well as resonance. Soundboards made from Spruce, resonant chambers from Western Red Cedar, and state-of-the-art tuning machines, the Kithara II opens up new possibilities in repertoire and performance, as well as bringing new aesthetic beauty to the stage.

We are THRILLED to have this new instrument in the works...which means YOU should be thrilled too, because with new instruments means new repertoire.
What could be coming, you ask?

Stay tuned, o brave listener, and the answer shall reveal itself in its due time!

In the meantime, we have a fabulous new album upcoming, a brilliant composer's event in the works, and much more!

As such, when the opportunity arrived to become part of a band, something different…
